💼 The Role
We are looking for a Protocol Architect to join Rated Labs.
You will be spearheading the effort to design and build a protocol will bring our next big product release, onchain. You will be part of a talent-dense, multidisciplinary team, with strong product sensibility and user-mindedness, backed by some of the premier investors in the industry, on a mission to keep the world’s machines accountable and aligned.
🛠️ The Skills
- You are deeply technical, and are adept at explaining advanced concepts in cryptography in simple terms. Some examples might be:
- Multiples types of proofs (STARK, SNARK, Fraud proofs etc)
- State roots
- KZG commitments & equivalent schemes
- Familiarity with both EVM and non-EVM blockchain environments, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities each presents in protocol design.
- Expertise in data availability solutions, their trust-assumption vs cost tradeoffs, as well as implications in scalability and security.
- Hands-on experience in developing and deploying production blockchain systems.
- Demonstrable critical analysis and thinking skills.
- You are able to put your ideas together into prototypes.
- You thrive working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Bonus points for proficiency in Ethereum Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions.
👲 The Person
- 2+ years in crypto as a Protocol Researcher, Engineer, or Designer with a strong and demonstrable interest in cryptography.
- You have a good understanding of the overall industry state of the art in terms of architecture components and stacks.
- You might be a Research inclined Engineer, or conversely an Engineering inclined Researcher. You might be very strong academically, but also have a strong practical sense about you.
- You are ambitious, intellectually curious, maniacal about details but at the same time value the elegance in simplicity.
- Is ideally based anywhere between CET-1 and CET+1
