The team is fully remote but we meet twice a year to work together.

Duties:
Design and implement robust backend systems that support the high-performance needs of Polynomial's trading platform.
Work closely with the frontend team and product managers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of backend services.
Develop and maintain scalable, low-latency systems for trade execution, data processing, and risk management.
Engage in the development of smart contracts and interact with the Ethereum blockchain to facilitate onchain transactions.
Uphold the highest standards of security and data protection in all backend developments.
Mentor & lead junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of backend development experience.
Previous experience in a trading exchange, whether in traditional finance, CEX or within the DeFi space.
Proven track record in developing high-performance, scalable backend systems.
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, GOLang, Python, or similar. (Technologies we use - NodeJs, GOLang, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, GCP, Github Actions, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with microservices architecture, API design, and data modeling.
You believe in writing high quality, maintainable and easy to read code base.
Build DeFi perps experience you’d love to use yourself.
Nice to have:
Contributions to open-source projects in the DeFi or blockchain space.
Familiarity with financial market concepts, trading algorithms, and risk management strategies.
